STUDIO

My process in the studio is careful and contemplative. I often work in complete darkness, using  different self-constructed tools to control the light exposure of the photographic paper. Whilst I work with previously rehearsed movements and planned exposure sequences, there is always an element of chance and uncertainty. Light remains a difficult force to control, and unforeseen things happen. Each paper and every new exposure generates a renewed sense of wonder and excitement.
